Student Participation Grants for ISCAS 2022 Attendees
We are pleased to announce that we anticipate a number of student participation grants, supported in part by the National Science Foundation, will be available to help offset the cost for students interested in attending and participating in ISCAS 2022. These competitive grants will be for approximately $500 each and can be used to offset travel, registration, and/or lodging expenses. Since a hybrid format will be used for ISCAS 2022 whereby registrants can participate either in-person or virtually, students participating in the conference in either format will be considered for these grants.
These grants are intentionally termed Participation Grants rather than Travel Grants or Attendance Grants. As participation grants, they are intended to help support student participation in conference activities throughout the conference (i.e. attend technical presentations, give lecture, poster, or virtual presentations, attend tutorials, and interact with other participants at breaks and other organized activities throughout the conference). Students whose primary purpose in attending is to present a paper, that choose to arrive late or leave early, or that choose not to participate in activities that are organized to facilitate interaction amongst the participants should not apply for one of these grants.
Though non-author students and non-presenting student authors are eligible to apply, preference will be given to students who are the first author on a paper submitted as a regular paper who will be presenting the paper virtually or in person in either lecture or poster format. Scores and comments obtained from the paper review process will be used in prioritizing applicants for these grants. For the purpose of these grants, a student is anyone that is currently a student or an author/co-author of a paper that was a student at the time the work being presented was done.
Students interested in being considered for one of these grants should fill out the application form (by Google Form): https://forms.gle/LotKyJ8rwr3T5SSY9
If you have any questions regarding the grants or application form, please feel free to contact the Student participation Grant co-chair by sending emails to: chengh@iastate.edu
The deadline for full consideration is Friday, February 21, 2022, but later applications will be considered if all grants are not awarded by those received by the full consideration deadline.
Note: These grants will be cost reimbursable. Those selected will be asked to keep copies of receipts for travel, registration, and lodging and submit those receipts for reimbursement for up to the amount awarded after the conference is concluded. Attendance (in person or virtually) of the conference along with verification of participation throughout the conference is required for reimbursement.
